One of my favorite pictures ever, it almost looks like a Norman Rockwell work.

The original isn't very large, measuring 240mm x 145mm, drawn on paper.

Amazingly detailed work, Martin! I have never read 'The Silver Sword', but I might look it up on the strength of your illustration, nice dramatic feel to this one! I wasn't there, but I think you've caught the atmosphere of the Blitz perfectly! well done!

Incredible details, was this a large work?

This was one of my favourite books growing up (if a fantasy, a very real one) and this beautiful picture captures the atmosphere, mood and magic of the story-telling very well.

Art at its best.
