Artwork Description

The brief called for a black wraith on rearing horseback. Difficult to avoid similarities with Nazgul, and with Tim Burton's Sleepy Hollow, but hopefully I've avoided being *too* close to either.

First time seeing your work, Martin and it's beautiful. You really have a fantastic talent.

Nice work, spooky and well composed. The pink breath is a nice touch.

I love that scary red around the horse's nostrils!

Oooooh! Wonderful! Love the rider's robes, the horse looks great, the moon is effective, and the mist crawling along the ground is just plain cool. Great piece! (And I wasn't bothered at all by the 'emptiness' of the top, so I'm glad you didn't crop.) Thank you so much for sharing.

I just love that horse Martin! The whole picture has a looking up perspective to it which is very hard to do without overdoing it and you have achieved it perfectly. Fantastic work as always!

Awesome work - love the limited colors

Yes, the space at the top is for the book's title, and the space to the left is intended to wrap around onto the book's spine. Perhaps I should've cropped it for posting here!

Is that a Fighting Fantasy cover?! I was going to say the empty canvas bothered me - but if it's a book cover then it makes sense! Smile Nice work!

Who cares about similarities, this is awesome! Great, vicious looking horse. Love his red eyes and fangs. Equine anatomy and the rider's position are also good too.

Art at its best.
