A zombie pirate. I was after something of the feel of John Atkinson Grimshaw, for that crepuscular green...
i out of words...
alls i can say is arg
PLZ, tell me if you really draw this amazing sky !!!
reminds me of pirates of the carribean awsome!!
I was surfing the net for nice grim pics. i just came across one of your other works by scanning with my eyes. i was attracted to this. it meets the grim i'm looking for. keep up the good work! Very great Job. Along with the Talisman of Death.
Really Good. I'm french and I know that your work is going worldwide.
Han hoptical hillusion hi hassure hou
The hand that's holding the skull looks like it has 5 fingers in stead of 4
Four fingers and a thumb?
Wow, amazing! But is the pirate meant to have that many fingers? Love the parrot!
Marvelous atmosphere and detail -- but what delights me most is the Ghost Parrot!
Love the detail on the clothing! And the hand holding the skull!
Mmm, a most wonderufl composition - dead pirates are so sweetly classy, much amazement to that piece!
Yes I agree on the sword - something I missed (under pressure of deadline and all that)! I've done a more recent version in which I've added rusty texture to the blade...
as a rule, i dislike digital art... but this is awesome, i have to admit... i do agree that the sword would look better if it was a bit aged or rusty...
Im not easily impressed by other people`s art but this one piece is absolutely stunning, *impressed*.
personally i would have added a little bit of rust to the pirate`s blade..
Hoist the anchor and set sail for the SCUMM Bar!!
Thanks! Yep, Pirates of the Caribbean innevitably a strong influence (not that I've seen it since its cinema release, I'd like to check it out it again), with a healthy dose of (EC-inspired) imagery I liked from Carpenter's The Fog.
That reminds me a LOT of the Pirates of the Caribbean movie.Very nice work!
Thanks, er, me hearty.
Ohh yes... it is to be feared my friend. Well, to be honest I was a bit stumped when the brief called for the zombie to have a parrot on his shoulder, parrots traditionally considered as being entirely non-spooky in aspect. So I gave it a glowy eye and bob's yer uncle. If in doubt: glowy eye, I always say.
Amazing work Martin!!
love the colour and detail, totally deserving an editors pick. I can't wait to see what you come up with next!
Arrrgggh...."Sunglasses at Night" is running through my head now! Incredible work, nonetheless. I so dig it!
Agggggggggg, it's....the...frightening.....ZOMBIE PARROT!!!!!!!!
