Artwork Description

A brand new piece, that is for a small role playing company in my area. I like her a bit more than her demon companion, Succubus. That is just my personal preference.

I really love both of them, though I got to admit that I like the succubus one better.
To me it seems as if both wings are sprouting from her right shoulder...
On another note,i really like how you shade your works.

Oh, wow! This is very beautiful! Shock

Love your shading. Your a very talented artist. Impressed by your work.

Wow, I have to say for a black/white/grey piece you have really pulled it off nicely, the different tones, tints and shades of the greys are beautiful, as are the small highlights you've put in, but...I have to say that the range of values you used didn't draw my attention is an much as one of your other pieces have done...

I also have to say that one thing is bugging me about the picture, and that's her neck, I know everyone else has been bickering about other distortions and such, but...the neck seems that if she were to look straight up...her neck would be slightly too long...but then again...that's just me...and I take into notice of everything that's long *winks* Keep up your spirits and yet another two thumbs up comes my way to you ^^;;;

"The head's too small..."
Smile Well I've had that problem. I sometimes take my own reference photos and, especially if I'm in a confined space trying to get everything into the photo, I end up with *exactly* that sort of slight distortion: what's nearer to the camera is disproportionately bigger.
And maybe some photographers do this on purpose to make their models' legs look longer...
You must draw with absolutely pin-sharp accuracy to capture this so exactly!
I love the rendering here, the smoothness of the skin and the weightless quality of her hair. Is it charcoal or graphite pencil? I envy anybody who can get that kind of contrast with graphite or that sort of smoothness with charcoal.

This is seriously beautiful. Ironically, she's sexier than her succubus companion!

I don't know anything about art...but I think this is incredible.

Carrie, Wow! She has really, really nice... uh, wings - yes, very impressive wings! ~smiles and winks~ I think this might be my favorite (I'm still deciding though) I really love all of your color work but I guess since I myself am rather color challanged I have a weakness for greyscale beauties. I love it!

Thank you jessica, I am glad you ventured over here!
Stick around a bit, and you will find many artists that are wonderful!

Lovely shading. Very impressive work.

I like you b&W pencil work also - reminiscent of Vallejo. OK, the head is slightly small, but I think I like it that way - it's a beautiful piece with another one of your trademark gorgeous women. Amazing!

Truly amazing artwork, excellent shading.
Just two objections:
Her head is to small compared to her body.
Her hand is too big
Otherwise great work.
And great job with the wings

bloom797's picture

Thanks!
It seems so does everyone else!
She is my most viewed pic I have here.

Hey my names Carrie too! This is fantastic! And I'm really obsessed by angels. I really love this picture...

Guest's picture

Beautiful! you have such a talent, thank~you for sharing your work.

bloom797's picture

thank you, I try to get as close to "skin like" as I can with the gray scale of pencil.

azayaka's picture

what beautiful pencil work. amazing.

Guest's picture

Wow... awesome... my pensil can´t do that. which kind dow you youse.

bloom797's picture

I keep telling people this...I drew what I saw...her legs *were* like that! I do think the hand was fine, I just needed to upsize the head a little. The model was hedi klum from a international photo mag.

Guest's picture

Wow.. this is one awesome drawing.. the shading is amazing.. Great detailing to! Those wings and those folds.. damn, you must really have some patience, i envy you for that, lol!

bloom797's picture

Blame Hedi Klum it was her hands!! lol, they were that big in the photo!

paata's picture

Great pencil technique.

Guest's picture

This is a nice rendering. We should always check out proportions before such an undertaking is finished.
If you will notice the size of her hands, legs etc. you can see that her head is too small. Such a nice rendering in pencil nevertheless.

Art at its best.
