Artwork Description

My first experiment at digitally painting over one of my 3D renders. For future works, I think I will try to lower the amount of 3D modelling so that it will be less constraining to work with.

I really love the detail with the soft glow, and the aqua gem stone sort of glows. I really like the effect.

In regards to the picture itself, I think it was done wonderfully. At first I though that on of her breasts was much larger than the other was, but I realized it was just her shoulder o.O
Although I doubt her ribs would be showing if she had that much muscle everywhere else...
In regards to the opinion that this is offensive,
This isn't called fantasy so that us guys can fantasize about flat-chested old grannies with warts all over their faces and they lose their dentures every time they smile I find it offensive when women draw extremely femme guys, but I don't sit there and complain about it. Hey, if that's what they think is sexy or whatever, it's not my problem. It’s also not called fantasy so that women can fantasize about a 43 year old short bald man named Bob or George, collects stamps, lives with his parents and has been unemployed for as long as he can remember, now is it? After all it's called fantasy so that we can fantasize, not puke up our guts in disgust. Besides, it isn't like there aren't other places you can go to look at “ non-risqué ” pictures...

Its hard to say what is "true art" and what isnt... When is it not considered art... If a person renders a 3d Image is that not art? Its created with all the intenstions as fine art paintings. Such things as light, textures, form all have to be considered... When it comes to using refranse material like a photograph. Is a person lesser of an artist if they paint from a picture of a tree rather than paint directly from the tree? Morso is an artist lesser of one if they use that photo and paint over it?? This is a good debate and is something that in the next few years will have to be ironed out... I am a bfa computer artist myself and would really like to see 3d art in an art histroy book at some point.

Regarding the one-breasted Amazon:

First, it's called "Fanstasy Art" for a reason.

Second, if you want historical accuracy, these women would still have two breasts because recent archeaological finds in the steppes of Eastern Europe of a tribe or tribes which included women warriors contained no evidence that they cut off their breasts. -- And that's assuming you even need historical accuracy for a group of women who were not well-documented, who were probably just recurring characters in a few poems, and not all of whom had one breast even so.

And on the point of why they did so in the references found in this regard ... there is some disagreement as to whether they were cutting off their breasts in order to be better archers, or whether the gesture was meant as a sacrifice to Artemis (sometimes depicted as having many breasts ... a symbol of those sacrifices?)

Sorry for the rant. I'm as feminist as the next woman, but ... really. You have to be reasonable to be taken seriously.

I will start off by saying all of your drawings are good. You draw all girls sluty and you give us a bad name. Personally, I find this slightly offensive.

Hey guys i am a 3D guru, and i am getting my BCA degree in computer animation. I have seen a lof of these renders but to tell you the truth they are not really modeled by the artist most of the time. There is a program called POSER4 and latest was i think POSER5 that gives you free 3D models, male and females that you can render as a JPEG or any othere file, than you can take it into photoshop or painter and do work like this. Personally its not my style because to me that is not original work. But he did a pretty good job detailing the model and painting.

I've noticed that everyone who draws or paints pictures of women they call Amazons draws them very well endowed and with BOTH breasts . . . Amazon women only have ONE breast. They always cut off their right breast to make shooting a bow less awkward. While this is a wonderful picture, as most are, I wish that artists would depict the Amazon women as they truly are, instead of big breasted fantasy women.

Painted Renders are something i have not seen many people do before. I think is taking renders to the next step and making more of a legit form or art. Personally i am a bit weary of renders as an art form, but this piece puts up a nice argument. Very good.

Horray for the Brazilian wax!!!

If her face wasnt so blended i'd have wondered if it was really a drawing.

Very lovely. I hope you enter more work soon!

She's beautiful without losing the edge that would make her a formidable opponent (hard to do in a metal bikini, lol. Nice work!

Though she's really well endowed, I love it. I love the detail you have in all of the image. Hopefully we'll see more from you soon.
