Artwork Description

i was determined to "leave no pixel unchanged" in my effort to bring the original in line with the pictoral approach of "eratinalinfalah". they were both developed for the same childrens' story, and both begun around the same time, but i really solidified the style i was looking for with eratin and had a little time to devote to the project lately, so here is the second illustration in the set(of about a dozen when completed).

oooo --- oooo --- oooo--- I love it! Terrific expression, I like the stern little stance of the fairy vs. the wizard's venerable smile... and the bird's curiously intelligent look, as well-- without getting cartoony-- all perfect! Thanks for posting, I really enjoyed looking at this.

Well I liked the old one but this one just blows me away! I think you succeeded in giving this a more "crisp" look, and it would definetely look great in a book. It tells a story on its own. Hope to see more illustrations like this, it's lovely. (and please let us know when the book is out too Smile

thanks bill! i like them both as well. the original was one of my first illustrations(fantasy or other), so it has a special place.
