Thank Socar Wasn't that the game based on the green-sky trilogy by Zilpha Keatley Snyder? I vaguely remember it. I must admit that I felt like taking this piece down especially after I saw your picture, it's much better than mine
Hey, there can never be too many interpretations of the "friendly living tree" concept! I think it's impossible to avoid similarities to other people's work when using such a familiar idea.
Looking good, anyhow! Reminds me of this old C-64 game I used to love, "Below the Root". There wasn't a tree like this in the game, but the cute little character walking on a giant tree does unearth memories of Green Sky. (Ha, if you haven't played that game, you're probably all 'WTF?' Well, anyhow, it was a great game, and this is looking mighty fine as well.)
LOL! don't go there Rita!! Thanks
Thanks Andreas, this is more like my natural pencil drawing style (along with Soul Torture).
Ha ha ha Bill - this painting reminds me... LOL - it is so lovely. Love that little girly
Boy you have been busy, this is quite different than your usual style, but still very effective and a lot of character.
That is funny I was actually inspired by 'The Gent' by James Browne, and a illustration by Arthur Rackham, but you're not the first to make the comparison and probally won't be the last
