Drew/colored this piece in Painter Classic. Trying to learn program.
Dont get me wrong, i tihnk this is a great painting, but it sickens me to tihnk of the beautiful underdark elves to have a skin of such human tone. I hate it when people associate the skin of dark elves with the darker tones of our race. They are a very exotic race. The drow skin is described as being ebony, im tihnking more along the lines of a shadow grey, or black/grey with a blue or purple hue to it...rather than brown. It just degrades this beautiful race of magic, deception, and uttermost evil.
p.s. the eyes are cool (obviously being viewed in the light spectrum) i think the light blue of the iris would highly compliment a dark dark bluish grey skin tone.
Thanks, Dean! But you weren't supposed to notice my laziness. Will write "I will not be a lazy artist" 100 times with my new tablet so I don't do it again. But seriously, thanks--will try to have more patience on the next one.
Wow. Yhis is very striking. The way you did the skin and hair is wonderful. Although, the neck area didn't get the attention it deserves, I think. Also the red robe looks a bit flat. Still, a really awesome painting. Looks like you're learning the program damn well to me!
