Artwork Description

This is a portrait I did of my friend, (known around teh internets as, 'Wildeye') as a Geisha for the "Faces of Pixelbrush" challenge over at the Pixelbrush forums.

Some notes: The dragon design on her kimono was a clipart image from Dover and the floral pattern on her collar was made from a couple of brushes by 'darkgarden' on DeviantArt.

Painted in Photoshop Elements 5 with a Wacom Tablet.

Gorgeous piece, Karin. A well-deserved Editor's Pick. The hair-do and hair pins were obviously very well researched, everything looks really accurate, even to a kimono lover. Smile A wonderful piece, again. I PREY that I get a kimono-commission one of these days: I am in desperate need of a good excuse to paint a japanese portrait.

Art at its best.
