This is a linoprint of an elemental Gaia, turning in sadness from the broken hourglass at her feet.
Thanks! I spent a lot of time on figuring out how to render the elements with such broad line weights.
Sweet! I really like the rear 3/4 too.
That's really cool! Lino is fun. This is pretty detailed for the medium, it looks good. Nice colours and especially nice design.
O yes.i've had my fair share of accidental slices whilst cutting.fine detail and beautifull mix of tones
this is absolutely fantastic! i LOVE it! the styele, colours, and especially the face... im obsessed with that angle:)
holy he-who-must-not-be-name! that is ::stammers:: i'm speachless! for once! i'm ACTUALLY SPEACHLESS!!!!! congrandulations! the making-Nissa-speachless is a work of art in it's self! of course.... the picture makes a much better thing to see at some big fancy art show than a 15-year old stammering blonde (to much glare from lack of sunlight)
It is indeed lino, and may I say it's quite an honour to receive a comment from someone already in my Epilogue bookmarks? *blush*
The hardest thing about carving the lino was the dire warnings about impaling oneself on the cutting tool with an overenthusiastic gouge. *shudder* Thank you for your comment!
well this is beautiful. I myself did some linocuts before and this is not the easiest to do.... to get so much detail in there is astounding. Well keep it up and keep em coming
is this a lino cut? If so.. very cool, the detail on it is wonderful. I especially like the background lines on the print
