Starkly Starkly (My Dear Cow And An Overgrown Tennis Ball) by wolfvayne
A personal commission which I was -more- than delighted to take on :]
Starkly I wandered
Obsolete like a whore of the world;
Everything worn and frayed to me.
As an ancient deity, knowing of all
past and gone since the first tick,
I knew I could not wait for more
Stuff of dreams – long forgotten.
An opaqueness shook the grounds where,
he, slept; preventing me from,
mustering, a hope, wish, want.
Yes, everything had been visited
And I felt a sameliness that tore
Across scorched, sun-streaked lands.
But look, now, to that forbidden flower.
Does it not stray from uncertainty?
I watch, it, tock on.
Unfortunately, it is always those same
progressive ticks that cease expectancy.
Probability glows faceted on whetted sands.
And I am once again washed
to the side unpredictable.
