Artwork Description

This one is all pyrography on a 16x16 birch plywood panel. I wanted to do something with more shadows and have wanted to do a Medusa picture for some time.

I think it took over a week to do so at least 40 hours. Details in pyro are unforgiving.

Is woodburning. I burning unit with various pen types to burn the pencil drawing onto the wood.

I never realized pyrography could be so precise and detailed. At least I never saw any piece before with such a smooth and realistic shading as yours. I am very impressed by your skill. You definitely chose a very difficult medium, but truly master it.
