Prepared for battle
Thanks for dropping back by...I do have some new stuff cooking...one new one is up on my website and a couple of others are nearly done. I'm going to pick one for epilogue soon!
just checking to see if ya had anything new, catch ya later
well, sean, most art is derivative in some way...i think i'll stop making apologies. if you have to emulate, emulate the best damned artist in the world, eh?
the biggest influence in my life was and is frazetta, great contrast of light dark and color, what a mood.and your right it is very difficult to not try to emulate him, very nice work
Thanks Denny. The great challenge of adoring Frazetta is resisting the urge to duplicate him....as if anyone could.
BTW your pencil work is great!! Are we gonna see something new from you?
Leo, coming from you I consider this to be a very great compliment. Your work displayed on this site is spectacular. Not sure what you mean by support, but the medium is oil on canvas. The ONLY modifications were to cure the washed out photo of it by pulling down the brightness and pushing up the contrast in Photoshop. It looks pretty close to the original this way. Thanks again.
This is a tiny masterpiece. Excellent job, David. What kind of support did you use?
very moody and i love the highlights and the deep shadows. very Frazetta this is
