You have a way with pencil shades like no other. You're good, man! I hope to put up some pencil pieces in my gallery soon, but they don't come close to this! I'm wondering if I should refrain now, in fear of looking inferior! I work with pencils, but my style is more sketching than the perfect details of you style! Again, bravo!
Thanks so much for your comments...I love what I do and when others have a good feeling about what they see, that makes me feel whole.
This is wonderful, your pencils skills are so stunning! My favorite part of this picture though is the little drawfish guy behind her leg ^_^ He's got such personality! I adore your entire gallery...
Thanks Min for your comments. I go to the Renaissance Fair in Atlanta to photograph characters and animals I use for reference for my morgue files. This horse is used for the jousting exhibit...I have over 250 shots of this animal. She's just beautiful to look at.
Thanks for your response and kind comments. Relation of lights and darks within a 2:1 ratio is a formula I tend to work with. Also I use "the rule of nine"...where you devide the piece in 9 equal squares, where they intersect, I place an important element to draw your attention too. The rule is to use only 1 or 3 points (always odd numbers) for a point(
of interest within the composition.
so beautiful! I can't help but notice the wonderful repetition of verticle lines and either by design or accident, it's the perfect balance and number. Can I just say how much I love that horse?
I can learn so much about composition and use of contrast by just browsing through your gallery.. Impressive work! Thanks for posting!
