Artwork Description

(Legolas speaking) ... 'See how they run! There is Hasufel, And there is my friend Arod beside him. But there is another that strides ahead: A very great horse. I have not seen his like before.' 'Nor will you again,' said Gandalf. 'That is Shadowfax. He is the chief of the Mearas, lords of horses, and not even Theoden, King of Rohan, has ever looked on a better. Does he not shine like silver, and run as smoothly as a swift stream? He has come for me: the horse of the White Rider. We are going to battle together.'

-J.R.R. Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings: Book 3, chapter 5, 'The White Rider'

His hooves are just fine. Keep it as it's truly an original. Excellent work! Keep it up! From a fellow Artist.

Hi Isenho, you flatterer you! I'm not really that pretty- that's one of my senior portrait pics, and I have about 5 lbs of makeup on. I'm glad you like the grass, I did that specifically to fit with Epilogue's requirement of a background. Heh- remember the first rendering I posted on TTF? It's amazing what mediums other that mechanical pencils and a history worksheet can do for a pic, eh?

hey Shadowfax! it's I! Isenho from! lol, yay! you have a gallery on epilogue. ooo, this horse here is nice, the shading and the rendering is most wicked! dynamic anatomy and pose. nice grass touch. Laughing out loud I have never thought of you as that pretty as seen on your portrait. Wink

Hurrah! Someone has given me a comment! I am glad you like it- I have more pictures, but they were not good enough for Epilogue. However, you can see them on my elfwood gallery at
