Pandora by jupitre
This is a personal interpretation of the (misogynist) Greek myth of Pandora ("all gifts"), the first woman, sent by the gods to balance the advantage Prometheus gave mankind with fire (symbolic of all technology). The gods give Pandora a box they tell her never to open, but, compulsively curious, she opens it anyway and releases all the troubles of humanity, shutting it closed just in time to preserve Hope. The 3'x3' painting also plays with the themes of colloquial expressions and the Schroedinger's cat thought experiment. I don't directly narrate the story but offer either an alternative or a psychological allegory.
