Artwork Description

I've extrapolated using characters from Neil Gaiman's American Gods to generate an obscure narrative in which Egyptian exiled gods accompany one of their number as she submits herself to death by electrocution using one of the "American" replacement objects of worship, a television. The ocean, as a symbol of both female sexuality and the unknown, reveals Bast's woman's form where it and the electric charge touch her. Anubis, continuing his status as guardian of the afterlife as a mortician, waits in ceremonial jackel's head with her gurney.

Something this unique really deserves more comments! You have great imagination, and this piece is not only unusual, it's emotionally effective. Very cool stuff.

I loved American Gods - your picture does it justice. Good job.

Art at its best.
