" Do you believe in Fairies?"
Great to hear from you again, Rita! and thanks for the lovely comments!
Oh yes, it IS Captain Hook! You really are a great artist, I´m absolutely impressed by that realistic look and that wonderfully drawn hand! (I admit my first look always aims at hands, in my opinion only they really show an artist´s talent.) Keep at it!
James, it is gorgeous! His face! Great, great work! Rita
Thank you, Shaun! great to hear from you!
Many thanks, Vicki! at the moment I am working on an Arthurian Theme!
He he! I contorted and enhanced some of the features on my own face to create a ruthless pirate..and what do I get?...John Cleese! lol! you have made my day, Harmony! wonderful comments, thank you!
I always look forward to your next picture! This is stunning! Skin tones look so real! And the hook! More!
Hey James, nice work.I especially like the hook, very cool and eyes are outstanding-great illustration James!
This is great James !! You know, he almost looks a bit like John Cleese . I love the detail you've put into this image, especially the curls and the metal.
Thank you for those kind words, Stan! you may have noticed that I've modified Tinkerbell slightly (hopefuly for the better) since you posted your comments, hope you like!
Thank you for your lovely comments, Lorna! ha! Hook as the guy next door! lol!... now that would knock the worth of your house right down! lol!
What excellent technique and rendering with the colored pencil! But more importantly, there is such a feeling of familiarity and life in all your fairy tale illustrations and you convey them so well. The expression on Captain Hook's face is amazingly done; it's so alive, real, and human. It's as if he could be the guy next door. Well, I guess I don't exactly know how to say that eloquently - maybe he really is the guy next door - but I do know that something about this makes me smile
James, fantastic and realistic rendering. I enjoy your work.
