Weeee! He is such a lil cutey! I just love his expression and all the colors gop so well together! This was so fun to watch in the WIP, to see how you make it work. I envy your colored pencil work! ^^

Thanks, Kayti! If it made you smile, then it was worth doing!

Thank you, Rita! I like the idea, that people might find something familiar in the stuff I do, makes me feel like I've done a good job!

Thanks, Nell! I,ve had this image of Peter Pan in my head for quite a while, most of the original concept has been overshadowed by the brilliant Disney version! but I like to get back to the grass roots of a story!

Hey James, lovely work as usual! I love the cheeky look on his face, you've captured Peter Pan's spirit perfectly. Great detail and use of colour, too!

Boy oh boy, Kay! talk about pressure! knowing you had a vision of this one for many years, I've been kinda dreading your comments, not as eerie as I intended, but I'm sooo relieved and glad that you like it! phew!

somerset's picture

Anne! Thanks for your help and advice in the WIP forum, specially on changing the hand!

Thank you, Abranda! in the original story Peter had a garment of leaves, so I incorporated a bit of that idea into the picture!

Wooohooo! Brilliant. Thanks for being a dream maker, James.

yay -James!!!! It's BRILLIANT!!!! It came out wonderful - and in such a short amount of time.

You are the master!

I watched this in the WIP forum too. Turned out wonderful. Love his smirk. And tink looks great too. I especially like his leafy garland. Really great job on this.

What an impish Peter Pan! He's fantastic! And the detailing in the curtains was a great idea. It makes the image seem much richer, even though the colors are kind of muted.

megaflow's picture

The detail all works very well. I absolutely love his expression - so full of mischief!

bcorbett67's picture

Ha! I knew this would turn out great! Nice work again James - I love that cheeky grin, and the nice details on the curtains and outfit. What really works for me is juxtaposition of color (the green with the blue of the sky, and the red of the curtain). Great stuff!

somerset's picture

Thank you, Socar! yes, I've been wanting to go into the WIP forum for a while now, cause I know I have weaknesses in my work, and I have to say I had a brilliant time!

socar's picture

Wow, look at you go! I watched your progress on this one in WIP--it turned out GREAT! I especially dig the pattern on the curtains, and the smirky little twist on his lips.

Art at its best.
