What a winner! The perspective on the hands is very nice, and the shading and overlapping lines are just great on them. And those soft feathers are so well done... great stuff. Oh! and the freckles, even. Top stuff, makes me want to get out my colored pencils again (haven't done any in over a year now!)

Hi, Ihsan, yes I used my own hands as a reference, but the face is not of this world! actually most of it is from my head, but I did use an amalgam of photo refs for some of the face feature details, thank you so much for the nice words!

This is incredible James!! Your effective use of soft colors and tones continues to amaze me Smile. The eyes in this one are particularly beautiful, and you've achieved an ambiguity of gender very well. Gorgeous hands too and composition. Lovely!

This is absolutely superb James! Your skill with coloured pencils is amazing. There's a lot to admire here - you're achieving a very realistic effect, and I know that hands from that kind of angle are VERY tricky! Do you use reference at all - models posing for you, or working from photos? Keep up the great work!

My God James! you just get better and better! If had been up to me I'd given you an editors pick just for the hands alone! I think Epilogue is just that much richer with your artwork here.
