have you ever had that dream of flying?
Thank you, Jeff!....oh and waiting for your photos!
ha! i love that his jammies are just a wee bit too big(it gets cold up there). very very nice, man.
Ha ha, I guess busy mothers have no time to log in, Jenny! hope you aren't getting too many sleepless nights! put your feet up every chance you get, girl!
Yeah, Jenny, do something with him in! heh heh annd thank you!
Woops? I have a baby and Epilogue forgets my name!! The last comment was Jenny, by the way
I think I like this one best, composition-wise, of your gallery! It's very contrastive, and just jumps at you, whereas your coloured pencil pieces are a lot softer. Love the bold red of his pyjama. I wonder when I will start putting my son in my pcs!
Thank you, Lorna! yeah, we had a lot of fun doing this one! the little guy liked the idea of being "Superman" for a while!
wow - what a great painting. The clouds are so fluffy and it evokes a feeling of such pure joy
Hi Cheryl! yeah the figure was a little enrefined to start with, but I got there in the end!...anyway when will we be seeing more of your lovely work? heh heh I'll be watching!
Thank you, Michael! acrylics aint too bad, they just take a bit of getting used to!
Thanks, Scott, the clouds could have been better, heh heh but I'll get there eventually!
Hi Patrick, thank you, I think I may have a go with oils, tried them years ago but never persevered, heh heh young and impatient then! mmm wait a minute now I'm old and impatient! lol!
Stunning piece James. And the fact that you did this in acrylics is even more impressive. Well done!!!
Wow! That's an impressive piece James. Amazing clouds in the background and the figure is superbly done. Great painting James.
Hey, I've been remiss in not coming here for a while. What a great piece - those clouds are triumphant! Great work as always (you've conquered acrylics, what's next?)
Oh, that's just sweet! I love it! It looks great to me, even before the changes, but now it really pops! Great stuff!
Ha Sarah, I wonder if he dreams of flying too? thank you!
This is beautiful, James. My own little boy wears jammers like this.....what a treat!
Thank you, Rita! glad you like it....can't wait to se your next pic!
James -- the clouds are perfect -- the face is awsome -- and your skills painting also with acrylic, indeed growing FAST. James, you rock!
Thank you, Donna! funny how you mentioned digital, I'd love to have a go at that! but the two mediums I've got on the go just now are taking up most of my time...one day maybe, I hope!
Hi Michelle! thank you, you are pretty magical yourself!
Wow! This is acrylic?!? It looks so smooth like oil or digital. But there are some really amazing acrylic artists out there who are redefining the medium so I believe you. You really rock at facial expressions and those pajamas look soooo comfy!! Keep up the great work!
James, I am continually amazed at your ability to capture such wonderful expressions. You're a true magician!
Oh and yes, Kay! that is my little nephew, Billy! the guy's a wee gem of a model, heh heh so professional!
Ah, Kay, thanks to you and everyone at the WIP forum for helping me get this one accepted, the encouragement and support I got from there is an inspiration!
Thank you, Sean, I really should keep my hand in! the gaps seem so long in between paintings that I loose the enthusiasm a bit!
Heh Thank you, Chris! what was it Buzz Lightyear called it when he realized that he couldn't really fly?...that's it "Falling with style!"
Ever charming, James....better than that dream of falling, eh?
Oh I love it James. The jammie stripes did it! Great Acrylics....more more.
The face is priceless. Is that your same little model? I thought Peter Pan but dreaming of flying works too. Great work!
