Artwork Description

Ancient Heart was modelled by Epilogue Artist Rita Ria

John Masefield

I Have seen dawn and sunset on moors and windy hills
Coming in solemn beauty like slow old tunes of Spain:
I have seen the lady April bringing in the daffodils,
Bringing the springing grass and the soft warm April rain.

I have heard the song of the blossoms and the old chant of the sea,
And seen strange lands from under the arched white sails of ships;
But the loveliest things of beauty God ever has showed to me
Are her voice, and her hair, and eyes, and the dear red curve of her lips.

Thank you, Amy and I agree, natural beauty is far more appealing than anything achieved by over priced cosmetic poducts or a doctor's knife!

wow. the water is just breathtaking in this. and the face is so captivating. i always love the fact that your people look like REAL people, not aloof models that look impossibly thin and attractive. she seems so real, and i find it just amazing, as always.

No, Ken, you are quite right! the reason for the unusual tone is because I use lavender coloured paper heh heh yeah the originals are pretty much how you see here! I think maybe I have become a little too settled with this format though, and a change of materials may take me into more interesting and challenging directions! Thank you my friend, great constructive comments and food for thought!

James, your stuff is always great...but everytime I see it, I think that the scanning or photographing is off, like it is not anywhere near as bright or white as it should I imagining this, do the originals look just like this?

somerset's picture

Yea nice one james ^^. i too appreciate the backdround, great effort., although i wish for the ambient lighting to be cast onto her figure, so she would suit the environment a little better. still nice work as always ^^.
