Thank you so much, Brenda!...ah the story, the way I see it is..Someone somewhere is saying a prayer which awakens the soul of this lady from her tombstone statue....the surprised look on her face is the realisation that she has come back to earth as an Angel
Lovely work, especially on the stonework. I know how hard coloring stone can be, especially in colored pencil. Her expression really makes me want to know the deeper story!
Thank you, Tom, encouragement from a great Artist like yourself sure helps to keep my enthusiasm alive
Wow James!!You have been busy..Some great new additions to your gallery..this is magic, very nice...
Ha thank you, Lindy! glad you like her expression, I'm kinda pleased with that too!

Thank you, Jenny! heh heh I'm so glad you like Angels!!!!!
Beautiful! Love the statue, and love the wings. I wish I'd put some more "life" int he last set of wings I drew!
Ha thank you, Erika! the figures in this one where a little smaller than usual and after being photographed and reduced for the computer screen the Angel's face has lost a bit detail and tone, still I hope it has still captured your likeness and that wonderful expression of yours? I'm so glad you like it!
I certainly look surprised, and I shoudn't because this piece is great. No one should expect any less from James McPartlin Master Portraitist.

Yes Marley, Erika's images where so expressive I had to do another one with her! thank you my friend!
That has to be the most thought provoking piece you have in your collection james, not to mention technically sound aswell!, this is your second of erica isn't it?. Great work James ;D
And once again thank you, Rita! I took this pic in the open air, I think the natural light helped with the details!
This means a hell of a lot to me, Ken! thank you very much!
Ha thank you so much, Nell, you are so sweet!
And from me to you, Uwe, thank you very much!
Thank you, Matthew! The idea started out with her being released from the statue, and the awareness she feels realising she has been miraculously transformed into this Angel....possibly through the power of prayer?
Thank you, Rita, you have made my day!
