Thank you Jim...wish you could see my smile heh heh splits my head in two!!!!
I don't remember seeing anyone use coloured pencils with quite as much skill as you show here James. Your skin tones in particular are spot on. Your gallery shows impressive work!
Thank you so much, Dear Guest!
Beautiful work! Her hair is masterfully rendered, and I love the little mouse! Wonderful work, and great concept!
Ah thank you, Chandra, it is such an honor to be named alongside such amazing artists like you!
Can't believe that I've never seen your work before! I must get out more. Also, congrats on getting into the NMoF. You really do deserve it!

Wow James great pencil work, this makes me want to pick up my pencils, but I'd only end up chewing on them
this is splendid work, james! the hues values and contours are very convincing, the mood is just right, and there is a lot more that draws me in for an even closer look. very nice indeed!
your skills are amazing, James it is so life like and the rat is completely cute ^_^
Thank you, Tom, great to hear from such a master!
This came out fantastic James, some of your tightest work I think..some great work pal...
Glad you like this one, Rita, knowing how brilliant you are at portraiture, this is indeed a compliment, thank you!
Thank you Scott, I think the colour paper I use does make a difference, specially with the skin and highlights!
Thanks, Bill, yeah that's a thought, I wonder when that will open again? there has been lots of new recruits since the last one!
beautiful portraiture James! I'm really enjoying this gallery of souls you are creating here in your patch of Epilogue
And another great painting James. This little mouse is such an eyecatcher! And you did Renata so beautifully! Wonderful work!
Very nice as always James. I'm always amazed at the great skin tones you achieve using colored pencils, I used to use them but mine never looked this good. Her reflection behind her is a nice touch too. Great work James.
Ha ha but of course, these little guys are the bane(maybe not) of Socar's life! Y'know Steve, I get a real blast out of these portraits fantastique (not trying to be scholarly! heh heh just love the word "fantastique") thank you, my friend.
Well Two things!!!
Fantastic job Mr. McPartlin on this study.
Very good use of colored pencils and you deserve a big pat on the back for this.
You used a splendid model and you did her wonderful justice. Renata is also an upcoming talent like yourself and is a wonderful addition to the Epilogue community.
Cheers to you both!
P.S. Socars mouse is stealing some coffee.....
