Was asked for this detail.
Suzanne was modelled by epilogue artist Madeleine Gusdal
Thank you, Sue, yeah you are very observant here, we already had the composition worked out and Madeleine actually posed specially for this one
I love your ability to capture portraits, I don't know the lady, but I feel this is her, somehow. That sounds Weird of me! The hair looks like it would feel silky soft & scented. How do you do it?? Beautiful!! She looks as if she is going to be pleased with her portrait! Sue UK
Thank you, Jeff, I've got to admit that faces fascinate me too
james, i look at faces all day long. so, apparently, do you! very top shelf.
Thank you so much, Svetlana, I did indeed struggle with her hair a bit!
Blonde hair is very difficult to capture the soulf of You did it amazingly well! She is a beauty
Thank you very much, Uwe, my master of the arts friend

Thank yo so much, Steve, glad you liked this view.
Thanks, Cath, I knew you liked this one after seeing the original
Alright, since everybody talked about the beautiful skin tones, I will find something else: her eyes and lips. The depth and light reflexions there are just astounding. And they did not show as well in the large version. Great to see this close-up.
beautiful to look at james
a real joy.
Absolutely wonderful, she looks so beautiful...Great work...Cath
Thank you so much, Matt, and yet I suspect that this is but a pale reflection next to her true beauty.....heh heh silver tongued me
Thank you, Rita, coming from a brilliant skin tone artist such as you this is a compliment indeed
Thank you, Marley, unfortunately because of the large scale of the pic some of the detail and cross-hatched colour tones are lost when reduced in size...I'm so glad you appreciate this my friend
Very beautiful James! I'd just like to echo the comments made by Marley about the skin tone, really nice! Madeleine has such a natural beauty which you have really made shine in this piece!
Brilliant artwork, James. Love the water, skin tones and hair!!!
the subtlety of tone in skin is more apparent in this close up. you can really appreciate the work in this for sure. Top notch james....Marley
