Sounds like an interesting story...this is sort of like the last part you described, with the "last man" standing, seeing the after-effects of the war....well I'm glad it gave you a whole new way of seeing the story. Smile

looking at this, i remember a story I just read. when the war is over the girl has to deal with the after math of it all. she's watched most of her friends die, and many she did not know, but in the end she finds a way to solve her problems, along with another. but i rmember one line the most when looking at this peice-because the last man standing has seen everyone else fall. this peice gives me a whole new way to look at it-thanks

Thanks, Marie-Joelle. Regarding the texture, I just add layer upon layer of watercolour, nothing special really! Thanks for stopping by! Smile

Yes indeed guest. He's reached his tether. I'd expect that's how all animals feel after such an ordeal that is war.

somehow I dont think that horse wants to go for a nice long canter right now. He gives the vision of just being fed up with everything! Excellent use of emotion and the sky is very powerful. ?

Thanks Tom! I enjoyed doing a darker piece for a change.

Lots of emotion here Nell, that horse is not a happy animal right now, he seems pretty damn mad,I think the rider going to catch hell! nice work...

Art at its best.
