Artwork Description

A picture I've been working on for a story for a comic anthology. Story by Lise Ward, artwork by me. There are two other pictures that go with the story, but this, the smallest, will be all I'm putting up here, for right now. I've experimented a little bit with combining the old etched engraving look with a bit of Alphonse Mucha and some Edward Gorey thrown in for good measure, and I'm quite pleased with this. The dark guy is Death, by the way, but he goes by Adrian. Smile Done in pen and ink.

Very nice piece, Elizabeth. As this medium is one that confounds me, I appreciate your skill. I love the composition and the decorative elements are a nice touch.

This is a marvelous piece! I can tell pen and ink is your friend ;D Nice control of tones and patterns and the montage of images flows together wonderfully. Having the waves transform into the folds of the blanket is a great touch. Superb job!

Art at its best.
