A new commission, finished an hour or so ago, of a certain comic character.
Found the others in you gallery and on your homepage That's my favorite besides the new addition. Great contrast between the blue figure and the red spot behind her head. Your style fits the characters -very- well.
hahahahaah, I figured it would only be a matter of time before I would get Macked! Yeah, he is a buddy of mine, and an incredibly talented guy...I knew using that violet would get me in trouble! Don't tell him, he could beat me up without breaking a sweat! And thanks for the comment on the Jyhad work...some of the best gaming work I have done and some of the most fun...love doing those portraits.
I saw the thumb and wondered if David Mack had started posting on Epilogue. Great image, has the feel of his work and of your early Jhyad card art.
oh, and Liptak...if you like blue (and especially violet), you must love David Mack's stuff! I swear, he must own stock in violet.
Wow, thanks for the comments, all....but I just want it to be clear, that red is not blood...tho many might think it from all the macabre stuff I do...it is just a really cool color I had to use.
Great as usual! I love that bloodstain, and her emotions. Your blue colors make the your pics so gothic-like... Grats Ken!
oh she's just beautiful. I love the way the watercolors are so lightly used, if you know what I mean, but still show such a realistic quality. And the red behind her is very striking. I love Death as well, she's so fascinating.
Thanks, Annelie. I originally was going to do a drip to top effect, like the one used by a great commercial illustrator whose name I can't remember now, but then decided to do the blown effect.
these plastic figure suddenly evolving from somme 'blown' ink... the effects are great + I really like the piece... it betrays my eyes...
Thanks Tom...another one that came out pretty easily, which is great, because I have a lot to get done this week....previous to this, I had to do a somewhat detailed piece (that won't fit on Epilogue subjectwise) of a soldier squeezing Saddam's head in a vise...then before that, art of a man's nude wife that he is going to tattoo on his thigh....man, sometimes, this vocation is wacky.
This came out great Ken , love the effect of the character in front of the red backing...very striking...
