Artwork Description

Medusa has always been depicted as this horrible monster, but reading the stories I have seen that she was actually wrongly betrayed by Zeus. So I tried to depict how it would feel to once have been the most beautiful women sought after by man, to being the most feared, and what it would feel like to inevitably kill all those that came to end her misery. In this picture medusa reaches for a shield, hinting at her fated death. I tried to make it seem like she was telling a story of her lonely life to those who would listen, her ill-fated warriors.

thank you so much for your kind words Justin.

I have to agree with Rochelle. I love the groin arches you've got going on here. And the emotion you've captured here is wonderful. I've enjoyed looking at your gallery.

Poor woman, she does look very very sad. My favourite part here is the architecture, and the opposing arches.

Art at its best.
