Arwen. She looks exactly like Arwen from Lord of the Rings.

When I looked at this painting, these words that I’ve written about a year ago, came to my mind:

Despair not in this dark world!
For many leagues neath mountains cold
Yet thrives in gloom an elven light
Upon the sword with deadly bite!

From the bottom of my heart I thank you, for your work!

Contrary to what others have said, I think the background is perfect for the kind of mood the picture sets. And from looking at so many elf pictures, the ears aren't all that big. I've seen bigger and smaller, and I think it depends on the elf... these seem to fit just fine. Your niece is very lovely. No wonder she's your favorite model. Wink

it hasn't been mentioned, but I love the hair! it has body and shine and curve and everything. It has strands without looking thin and motion without looking windblown to the max, well done! and thanks for the comment in my wee gallery!

Yes I had trouble with the background. I'm still not satisfied with it. Oh well.

Yes I agree the ear is too big and not enough detail. I will do better next time. Smile

I love the hair, the texture of the dress, the skin tones... everthing ^^ Wonderful work.

Cool pic. Nice face and wonderful dress. Not bad hair, but the background has a little synthetic-taste. I don't like the air-brushed atmosphere and the undistinctive trees. Perhaps you'd make a more detailed, unique background what fits to the figure. IMHO. Anyway, this pic is great.

This pic is breathtaking °_Ö
All this tiny details, the soft bg and the shadings are awesome!
But I think her ear could be a little bit smaller next time? But don't listen to me - this pic is wonderful Smile

Very magical glow all about her! I agree that the textures of the dress are a standout.

She is wonderful, Becca! the most amazing hair, and her dress pattern is superb

How beautiful! I agree with Socar - the details on the dress are terrific. I also really like the soft background.

I saw this in the WIP forum, and I think you did a very nice job of finishing it up. I especially like the fabric on the dress--it's very rich and nice to look at.

Art at its best.
