Great composition, lovley line-work (and that leather bracer is amazing) but the master stroke is the emotion in his face belying the size of his arms. Very well done.

Hate to disappoint you: I don't think there is a story to this. Some vague feelings and thoughts maybe, but nothing definitive. This guy is a general (that tatoo is a mark of his rank). He is sickened by the goings on -- the battle, the war, the powers he serves? That's about as much of a story as I have for him: he sort of just came and asked to be drawn.

Art at its best.
