Artwork Description

He could see them clearly now: they appeared to have cast aside their hoods and black cloaks, and they were robed in white and grey. Swords were naked in their pale hands; helms were on their heads. Their cold eyes glittered, and they called to him with fell voices. Fear now filled all Frodo's mind. He thought no longer of his sword. no cry came from him. He shut his eyes and clung to the horse's mane. The wind whistled in his ears, and the bells upon the harness rang wild and shrill. J.R.R. Tolkien: The Lord of the Rings, Book 1, Chapter 12: Flight to the Ford

I agree about Tom Bombadill. It was a bad thing that they left him out. I am 15 and have read all the Lord of the Rings books including the Hobbit. I love your artwork and am glad to see someone doing the art right out of the book. It sets the right mood. Keep up the good work please.

yes, no arwen-rescue mission! I love all your work, but I had to comment now. I hated the way they did that scene in the movie, and they skipped right over Bombadill... anyways, awesome picture!

I hadn't seen this one before. I like it a lot. Very well done, as is all your work.

Art at its best.
