Artwork Description

This painting was published as the back cover to Rex Mundi #2 (Image Comics).

Genevieve stands with the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. Of the Sephiroth (Divine Attributes) she obscures, Wisdom is at her head, Mercy is on her lips, and she hides Victory under her hand. The snake, entwined with the Tree, represents the bearer of truth, as well as the introduction of temptation.

Very it

There is no eleventh sephira. Daath is a quasisphere in the Abyss. Great work. I love anything dealing with the QVLH.

Yea, now that you mention it does look like Linda B. Hmm....
The hand is strange to me though *shrug.

The serpent has also been used in a kabbalistic context to represent Daath, a sort of 'eleventh Sephiroth' representing generative force. Overall, a fine treatment.
