Artwork Description

Based off the old Celtic legend of beautiful women who could change into swans at will via thier magical cloke of feathers. Sometimes men would sneak up and steal the magic grab as they bathed to keep them as wives. But not this one... she still lives out in the wild, beautiful and free.

I like this one, even though she does remind me of the Child-like Empress from The Neverending Story.

I esspecialy love how the style you drew the swan by (which is pretty basic) contrasts with the style you drew the girl by (which is realistic & very detailed). I thinks it adds allot to the fantasy feel to it, & is a genious idea...

Have you been inspired by the famous ESCHER (artist and architect)?
The way the swan blends with the girl was one of his favorite tricks.
Your art is graceful and poetic; C'est de grandes qualités à cultiver.

Beautiful drawing! There is great detail in the face of the girl, however, the drawing of the swan doesn't seem to follow the same style as the girl. Great picture nonetheless.

This is wonderful! I love how you are able to fuse the design elements into photorealism. Lovely, lovely. (But she does look exactly like the childlike empress, doesn't she? oh well, you could do much worse than reference a great eighties movie.) Smile

Art at its best.
