Artwork Description

I've been fascinated by the contrasts between opposites and I really wanted to make something of that thought.. I really liked painting this. It took about 2½ weeks to finish. - used ps and painter8- Hope you like it and comments are always welcome!

To me it resembles a local folklore tale. The man in dark is named Dusk (he is the night), and the woman is named Dawn (she is the day). They are in love with each other but can only meed for brief moments at twilight (when sun sets and when it rises), when the night and the day meet.

Lovely image! I particularly like the way the hem of the gown seems to become waves on the sand. Not sure if that was your intention, but... Smile

Thank you for sharing!

Like it?? WOW! It reminds me of some of the Symbolist painters, that hazy line, the message-laden imagery...really lovely.

Art at its best.
