Niko - I wish I could see the original.

Soultemptress - I wear glasses, thank you. I also know that a picture usual has a focal point. As Niko said the reduction is huge, which does explain the blurring and the flatness of the image.

Thanks for your comments.

Original size of the image is ~100 megs and width is 3000pix, it's basically impossible to maintain same detail quality when reducing image size this radically(jpg size is 111k, width 700pix).

To those who state "ugly". Let's see you do better. You complain about being blurry. Maybe you need glasses? The sepia tones works well with the piece. The concept is very intriguing. If people come here to always see concise, cut lines and the same thing is what they want then stick to one artist and be narrow minded. Art is wonderful and here at epilogue it is overwhelming the wonders to be found.

Keep up the good work Niko. ~Soultemptress~

*looked again* Nope, still ugly. Blurry, unfocused, nothing to hold the eye, not even the broken tower which looks like a dark blob badly pasted on the background.

very touchy topic for a non-Frensh artist! Anyway, splendid compositing work and the monochrome colour palette is very vibrant. Like it, kinda...Wink

An artist has the right to stick it to the French if she/he wishes

I am not sure what the other where speaking of when ugly came across the screen. This peice is lovely.. Dark and troublesome because we all know the tower stands, but what happened here, in this time.. The city lay in ruin and the only question that comes to mind is. How lovely can death be? Great job.. Keep up the good work
