Artwork Description

I wanted to create a painting of the fairy court that was different from the usual wispy clothes and forest glens. I wanted something a bit more mundane like the royal courts of the middle ages. The standing and waiting around for just the possibility of seeing the King. Unfortunately, I used a lot of gold paint which reflects in the light on the original painting, but just seems to look dead when scanned. The original will be hanging at DragonCon, so if your going you can see it there.

Thanks Jade. The gold just won't show up on the computer. The original is a lot better.

I'm sure the actual work will show more of the awesome details!! This is so lovely--and a refreshing change from the usual fairy-like settings. Thanks fro sharing your wonderful art!^_^

This is amazing... not only because of the style and composition, but mostly because I have a fae character that I roleplay with, and she... has her hair, just like that! With the bands at intervals on the high ponytail. That's amazing! Great minds.... ^_^

This is the first time I've tried to do a repeat border and I'm pleased with the results.
