Surely this gives the image of cruelty to animals is okay.
Sentient beings deserve more respect.
Put a human in chains, works better.

I just wanted to say that your painting is amazing!

the fact that the tiger is chained up like that makes me really sad although i think the emotion this piece leaves you with makes the piece wounderful

This piece just tears at my heart...the poor tiger looks so helpless and that makes me feel helpless. It is possibly one of the best tiger images i've ever seen though. You've managed to convey a deep intellect and sadness in the tiger without sacraficing any of the realistic aspects of the creature. Well done, ironic even, but very sad.

Your picture is beautiful and you are a fantastic artist. Working in the animal field I have heard of these kinds of stories, and you have painted a beautiful depiction of it.

Working in the animal field I have seen and heard many stories of situations like these. Tigers that are chained, or in cages so small they cannot stand and must lay in their own feces. Your picture is a beautiful depiction of the truth. Beyond what your picture is about, it is very beautiful and well done and you are a fantastic artist.

Working in the animal field I have seen this and heard many more stories of situations like this. And your picture depicts the truth. Either they are chained, or in cages so small they cannot stand up and lay in their own feces. This picture brings tears to my eyes because you have made a beautiful picture of the truth. Besides what the picture is about, it's a beautiful work of art, and you are a fantastic artist.

wow this image speaks for me !

is this how you view beauty?

Guest's picture

aww, this is sad. I love animals, especially tigers and this has conveyed a spiritual meaning to me that i cannot explain. It's beautiful.

I'm very impressed. The tiger has an air of restrained power despite the chains. One minor critic - given the detail in the rest of the piece, the locks look a bit too simplistic and bulky.

Great work Ron - solid-looking tiger. There's something very sad about this - those rodents are almost taunting the poor beast but he seems so withdrawn he doesn't care.

This piece really caught my eye! The rendering of the piece is wonderful, but I especially like the mood you've struck with the lighting to enhance the subject! Fantastic work!

Well.. I think this is excellent, and I'm completely mystified to why you haven't got an Editors pick yet.

Art at its best.
