Hey Sheri! So nice to hear from you! Thanks for the beautiful words...this was actually inspired by an old b/w image I found from the 30's.

Ahhhh YES! The Sweet Norma Rae with wings.
Hey Rebecca...did Marilyn pay you a visit in your dreams??? ;O)

Thanks Toni! Delight is one of my favorites...

This piece has a wonderful nostalgic air to it--reminds me of works by some of the famous artists during the 20's and 30's. I am a 20's buff, so you know I gotta love it! Wink

Thanks so much, Marilyn! Your work rocks!

I've always liked this one of yours, Rebecca. I love miniature dragons and she's as delighted with him as I am!

Thank you so much. 'Delight' has been one of my favorites as well...heck, they're all my favorites! Smile

I think this is my favourite painting of yours (of the ones I've seen). It's so perfect and has such an energie about it! The title is so fitting.

Why thank you very much! So many influences, so little time...there are so many artists whose work I admire, when I start a piece, I'm not always sure where it comes from. Thanks again.

Thank you so much James! I admire your work as well.

Thank you Bean Shae. She was a delight to create. Smile

call me crazy but I see a bit of post-expressionism in your style...reminds me of alot of work from that era...I also see a little Klempt. I read your influences and I think you may actually be one of those artists who absorbs all the styles you see.

The difference is you make it work.

Lovely, Rebecca, this has a kinda 1930's look to it, marvellous colours too!

Art at its best.
