Artwork Description

This piece was created with Aves Apoxie Sculpt over wire armature, painted with acrylics. I love blue mermaids. She's about 14" long by about 10" high.

Hi Tessa! Thanks so much for commenting here! Soon we'll have your artwork in a gallery as well!

I love this mermaid too. I was thinking of redoing her hair, and sanding down her entire body and refining and reworking it. I was thinking of putting mohair on her, but maybe I'll just resculpt it. Smile

Thanks! Yes, I will eventually do a Sea Elf. Thanks again. Smile

What great details in her texture! Cool that you webbed her fingers, too. The previously mentioned sea elf request sounds like a neat idea...I hope you give it a shot. Arm and leg fins, along with webbed hands and feet would look great on that one!!

Hey that's a great idea, Ali! I think I might just have to make a sea elf...thanks for the inspiration!

Anything and everything in the sea of a fantasy realm oh so fascinates me. This is just as wonderful as the Drow one.
It would be neat if you did a Sea elf sometime. With their green tinted skin... and the swirls and patterns with blue hair... *coughs* Sorry. Must've gotten carried away with meself.

Truely amazing work. n__n

Your work is truly wonderful! Not only are the paintings vividly alive, the sculptures express movement and have facial expressions that are amazing. I get a lot of inspiration here!

Thanks Bill. I love mermaids. So fun to make...her hair is kind of medusa like, unusual and strange...

Lovely mermaid Rebecca, I really like the scales and the texture of her hair.

Art at its best.
