Hello Liptak! What is a panopticum? I searched, but do not know what that is. 1) The collector specified 'an ancient bride'. When I first started sculpting, I did a series of old hags/witches. My second witch is on my webpage at the top of the Sculpture page. I just sold an old hag/witch at DragonCon, so there are those who want old lady sculpts...I didn't think she was that realistic!

2)Her size is 14" x 18" or so seated
3) I would want a month or two minimum to create a piece like this...but realistically the head, hands and feet came quickly, in about 3 days...then soft sculpting the body and attaching everything and painting, then dressing the figure and attaching hair. 4) I built the head and breastplate over wire armature with Aves Apoxie Sculpt (direct sculpt resin) to strenghthen the armature, then put polymer over that once cured. I made hand armatures going up past the elbows with a small amount of Aves under the polymer on the forearms (no room under hand armatures - very fragile thus), and the feet/calves the same way. Art Dolls are actually easier and quicker in some ways than full sculptures...plus I get to dress them and, well, play with them by posing, putting in different chairs%2

The figure is awesome, I really like it. Hmmm, I have some question:
1. You wrote it is a commissioned work. For a panopticum? Who wants a realistic old lady sculpt? 2. Could you tell me the sizes of the original? 3. About how long work a sculpt like this? 4. How did you build the parts of a human sculpt? Thanks and grats!

Hey thanks Michael! She was a lot of fun to make. I love crones...so does the collector. Hope to make a vampire soon out of this material.
