Artwork Description

I enjoy doing pieces which reflect the "hidden life" of the fantasy world, the non-epic everyday scenes of life. This is one of those scenes.

It always makes an artist feel good to hear compliments, but even more so to hear when we inspire someone else. It wasn't dedication so much as love of the subject and process. Go forth and create! =)

Wow! This picture just blows me away! How dedicated must you have been to do this? This is really inspirational I'm going to teach myself how to use coloured pencil! Amazing!

the detail is mind numbing. I especially like the broken mirror behind the bartender

This is astounding. I especially like the okapi you threw in!

I worked on plate-finish illustration board. Great for high detail work, not so great on dark darks.

And then some. I worked on it off and on for some three years, with most of the work happening in the last month. A lot of work, but great fun.

Hidden life indeed! This actually reflects pretty well what happened almost everytime my RPGing friends and I would go into a tavern! Really nice composition and choice of colors, which go a long way to add to the piece and bring out all the details.
And I really like the hyenadon/centaur type character in the foreground as well as all the critters on the main beam. Cool lamp fixture to. Keep it up!!!

Art at its best.
