Artwork Description

This was a fun piece I did in order to play around with light and shadow. The piece was done with black and white colored pencils on dark grey paper. In the piece, an archeaologist is so wrapped up in his research that he doesn't notice that he has become the subject of study himself.

This is great! I'm likin' the dragon-he looks so gentle.

Working with black and white on grey paper like this makes the lighting pop nicely.

Thank you, Stefany. And, well, black and white colored pencils. Sounds like an oxymoron, eh?

Hey David, this is fantastic - has a very Gustav Dore feel to it. Terrific composition.

Art at its best.
