Artwork Description

I decided to upload this detail cause I am really pleased how the brushstrokes in this digital piece turned out, and it is always sad to see how all that is lost in the downsized versions for posting on the internet – hope you like to see the detail…

Don’t remember how I came up with exactly this look but I know I just didn’t want a horsemen piece like all the other’s are, well at the end they are all very similar Wink.

Interesting how you went for more of an embalmed look than the traditional rotting/bone look!

what sent you in that direction with this??

Thanks again my dear friend! – you should see this piece as a huge fine art print on canvas! It turned out really very well… not as impressive as an original traditional painting, but it is really impressive, and it is the only way, I think, to show a digital painting on a traditional paint ground – and there one can see all the detail without scrolling trough the original 150mb digital file!
Thanks again for all, your support, friendship and not at least your help due to all your wonderful tutorials!

This detail makes an amazing image in itself, with the decayed horses and riders. Though it is all the more incredible when seen in context with the whole. Totally knock-your-socks-off work, Uwe!

Glad you like the detail – I had to put as much detail in this as possible, cause it will be not only the CD cover for the album it will also be a huge print…
Ich hab ungefähr ein und eine halbe Woche dafür gebraucht – ging mir erstaunlich leicht und schnell von der hand, normalerweise würde ich sicherlich um einiges länger brauchen für so eine komplexe arbeit….

A very good decision to show a close-up on them.
Again a great work-

Wie lange hast Du daran den gesessen?

Art at its best.
