Please, I need some pictures of your space. Can I use them for my blog? Not for commercial use it's only for enjoyment of my readers Smile thanks.

The vampire Zenobia it's a great work! Like Anne Rice describes her! I'll back here in a few days to see an answer, I hope you can help me, thanks a lot!

He might be a monster, but then he might not. Appearances can be deceiving now and then. Perhaps he has merely come to guide you safely through. You'll never know unless you enter. Thanks for the comments! Smile

When I first saw this picture I thought how delightful and peaceful the forest looks. The detail is wonderful. Just as I was about to move on to the next picture, I got shocked by noticing the monster. Very creepy, very well done.

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy the painting so much! Smile

I have viewed this image at least four times previously. Shame on me for not leaving a comment sooner. I could blame it on the image though, as this is very compelling. The lighting is so genuine, it makes me feel like I am there. As for the "monster", he sure looks vicious, yet there is also a feeling of personality there, so I agree with the other poster that maybe he is not as bad as he looks. Now I seem to be writing a book here, lol...well, someday I hope to produce a painting with a forest this grand. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Thank you very much. You touched on exactly what my theme in this is. The forest could be dangerous and he could mean you harm, but perhaps, in spite of his menacing appearance, he might just offer to guide you through. One never knows. Thanks for the comment Kirsi, and as for the praise I sent your way, you deserve it, that was a great painting.

*gasp*, this is one of the best digital landscape works I've ever seen! Such depth, wonderful details.

I could get lost in there and loose my mind Wink, but first I'd be eaten by that guy in the back! He looks kind of gentle, though Smile,
thanks for your comment, I highly appreciate it!

Thanks very much Michael, I can say the same things in regards to your wonderful paintings.

In regards to my technique, there is no "master" leaf as you say but I do have some custom brushes that allow me to render some leaves in small clusters (which helps quite a bit) and I also do go in and paint some one at a time as well, depending on the situation. I'll work in several layers, adjusting color, contrast, hue, value and opacity as I go. Another little trick is that I painted this over a solid black background which really helps with that over all "dark" feeling. Hope that answers your question sufficiently. Thanks for commenting.

boah - this is detailed - superb rendering of the forest - but hey, from now on i will never go into a forrest again Wink - no serious, i love all the detail you put in your work - excellent!!!

Guest's picture

Did you create a "Master Leaf" so to speak, copy and paste it into clusters, and then arrange those clusters into varying levels of depth by using the opacity filter? Or, god forbid, did you actually render each and every leaf painstakingly by hand!?!

Thank you very much Jessey, it's always a pleasure to hear from you. I'm looking forward to your next painting. Smile

Again, your detailing with lush forests is outstanding. Excellent work scoot! Beautiful composition.

Thanks Martino, I did almost blur the monster slightly for depth before I submitted it, but sometimes when I do that the piece gets rejected for being blurry. lol, so I just let it go at the time. Maybe I'll edit it later. I'll see if it gets any other comments along that line first. Thanks for your input.

Yes, the atmosphere is really superb... and all those details add to the envolvement of the viewer! The forest looks very creepy.
I think that the monster in the background is rendered too sharply.
Abyway, great work!

Thank you Sean, I'm pleased to hear that as that is exactly the effect I was hoping for with this painting. Thanks for commenting.
