Artwork Description

Another piece done for Oregonbigfoot.com. This one is a collaboration between myself and cryptozoologist Autumn Williams, who runs the website. She helped a lot with some great descriptive input as to the look of the creature. Photo Shop/Wacom/20+hours

Thanks as always Uwe! I'm glad you mentioned his "character" as I'm really starting to try to blur the line between the ape-human look to achieve that. I want viewers to feel they are looking at something that is more than just another species of ape. Thanks for commenting Uwe. Smile

Scott my friend! Your sasquatch are just the BEST!!!!! Mind-blowing to see how you manage to get that fur look so real! Besides that, this guy really has character! Great, great piece….

Much thanks James! Well, I do have some custom brushes that help me render the fur more quickly than painting one strand at a time, but it still takes a while to figure out the flow and direction of how I want it to go, and seeing that you metioned being convinced you can see it "move with the breeze", you're not necessarily imagining things as the effect of wind on the hair is something I do consider when rendering one of these Big Guys up close like this. Thanks very much for the comments James, always nice to hear from you.

Thanks Matthew, much appreciated, I've admired your work for quite some time so it means a lot to have you compliment my art. Thanks for commenting.

I don't know how you get the fur to look like that, Scott? I'm convinced I can see it move with the breeze!
