Artwork Description

Last year, when I visited Norway, I saw a little statuette of a pretty girl, with a cowstail. Curious, I asked my wife what it was. She then told me of the wood nymphs, the huldre folk of scandinavian lore. Fast forward to a few days ago, when I was about to draw a faerie, and just got started with the face. I thought 'No, that's not a faerie - it's a hulder', and so I went the other way, and let the little wood nymph have her way with my art. So what was supposed to be one thing turned out to be something else. It's often that way with those magical beings, you can never know who will want to be drawn next.

I think she is absolutely stunning! You seem to have really captured the essence of these beautiful creatures. Can we perhaps see her in color sometime? I would really love to. Thank you for bringing her to us.
