Brenda!!! Laughing out loud Thanks for stopping by. I wish I could tell you what she's holding in her hand. Honestly, I don't know. I'll admit that I added the cord after the piece was almost done. I thought the area needed something, especially since I was having trouble with the paper not taking layers in that area.

Thanks Cheryl. I think you are being a bit too hard on yourself though. Smile

Hi Leanne! I followed you here from wc - for some reason I don't remember seeing this completed. She's gorgeous!! Um, I wish I could see what pendant she's hiding under her hand! This piece does feel like a refreshing breeze. - Brenda (aka kiwicockatoo Shock)

Thanks Stephen. Colored pencil is great for control freaks like me. Laughing out loud

Thanks Joan. The smoothness comes from burnishing. I'm a compulsive burnisher.

Thanks so much Jessica. That's a real compliment coming from an artist like you! You do beautiful work.

The combination of stylized lines with realism really makes this pop! Excellent work on both rendering AND design- I'll be looking forward to more from you!

A beautiful piece. The colors and detailwork is very impressive. I'm always awed by those who can do things such as this with colored pencil!

Thanks Patrick. The design style is new for me. I really haven't made any serious attempts at fantasy pieces until this piece, but I'm trying to find more time to do fantasy work.

Thanks Michaela. Actually, I've done two tarot cards for a collaborative deck. I'm waiting to see if one gets approved for Epilogue. The other is on my website and slated to be redone in colored pencil because I'm not pleased with how it turned out. I'll be starting on the Three of Cups soon.
