Old story, my version..
Acrylics and markers on textured paper.
Thanks a lot! It's such a famous story and I'm glad I can add a little bit of my own interpretation of her! More art soon
I have read many tales of the Lady of the Lake, and seen many interpretations of her in art, but this is by far my favorite. She is regal, wise, beautiful, and commanding all at once. I love your color theme and the way you put the waves wrapping around her and added in the sword Excalibur. This piece is simple yet also quite breathtaking; I love your art, please keep posting more in your Epilogue gallery!
Went for a more simple painting to emphasize on the textures.
Thx...I'm glad I found an opportunity to use this paper (but I can't remember where I bought it)!
Thanks. Glad you see it this way. That's a nice compliment!
Thx a lot. I started working with colored pencils some years ago (I have a big collection of short pencils now, because I can't throw them away). Though I'm still experimenting with media a bit, I don't think I'll ever find something to replace the colored pencil.
Thx (...I'll tell her)!
A very restrained, elegant and evocative piece.
Love that texture!
Your artwork is very beautiful. Glad to see someone else who appreciates the colored pencil.
I too work with colored pencils along with mixing up media with them. I wish I could show them here but they aren't sci-fi enough. Keep up the great work!
I have the effects that you've gotten with your use of media and paper; stunning!!
Godlike! Makes me wanna throw myself into the lake to meet this Lady ^__^
Yeah, it may be an old story but you have breathed new life into it with this beautiful painting, Sandra! Lovely!
