Artwork Description

This is for the Renewal Contest. Winter as a patient old woman, bemused by the antics of little Spring. I couldn't resist giving winter those claws though...

Jennifer, your work is so great. Little spring is too cute Smile and all those little details you put in. Wonderful done

Only on my own web site, which is horribly out of date and in desperate need of a revamp. I'm working on it. Smile

I really love this piece. The characters have such personality!

Thanks Matt. That means a lot to me.

Thanks! Although...and this may sound odd...I don't WANT to win the contest. Since the piece of art that wins will be used in advertising, I think it needs to be a piece that's more representative of Epilogue as a whole. That being said, I had a blast painting this, and it was wonderful inspiration to do something I wouldn't have otherwise.

This really caught my eye in the Renewal thread - it's a great concept, and beautifully executed.

Thanks! I was experimenting with complementary colors in shadows - not entirely successfully IMHO. I'll definately play with the warmer shadows next time Smile

Cool concept Jennifer, good composition too.One sugesstion maybe a little brown or warmer grays in the shadows can really liven it up a little.

Yes, not quite my normal stuff, but I like the way it came out.

Thank you. It's the first time I've ever actually drawn a child (usually my subjects are more...err..adult *grin*) and it was quite a challenge getting the proportions and face correct.

A marvellous title for a marvellous illustration. I love the girl's hair and the expressions are fantastic.

Art at its best.
